McNeff's STRIP JACK NAKED to be performed by original line-up Saturday 24 January 2009, 8pm Bridport Arts Centre
Mark Forkgen, conductor Loré Lixenberg, mezzo-soprano
You wake up on the morning of your birthday and realise people are trying to tell you something...they don't much like the way you look anymore. But it's nothing that a bit of body resculpting can't sort out. And who cares if even your own family don't recognise you?
This is the question pondered in Stephen McNeff's Strip Jack Nacked, a music theatre work which can be performed in venues as 'un-classical' as a pub or club.
In January it will be the Bridport Arts Centre that gets transformed into a cabaret for a performance by Kokoro ensemble and mezzo Loré Lixenberg, to whom the work was originally dedicated in 2007.
