Four Edition Peters composers are featured at this years London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, with events taking place at venues around the capital until Sunday 20 May.
Judith Bingham's music and life are celebrated in her 60th birthday year with performances of a movement from the organ workEverlasting Crown on May 13 at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, Missa Brevis 'Awake My Soul' and The Shepherd on May 17 at Southwark Cathedral, and a talk and concert of her works on May 18 at St Pancras Church.
The world premiere of Roxanna Panufnik'sLove Endureth is given on Sunday 13 May at Westminster Cathedral, and the UK premiere of her Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis and London premiere of All Shall Be Well take place in a concert by the Exultate Singers on May 19 at St Pancras Church.
On May 20, Jonathan Dove's anthem Vast Ocean of Light is performed at Temple Church. The anthem forms part of the Choirbook for the Queen project, a volume of contemporary and especially commissioned choral repertoire published for the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen in 2012.
Finally, Andrew Fletcher'sCanticles and O Salutaris Hostia and Tantum Ergo will be performed at the closing event of the festival, Choral Evensong and Benediction at the Priory Church of St Bartholomew the Great in the City of London.
