Imagine that there is a creator using the whole of humanity as an experiment. If the creators were humble and wanted to learn from this experiment, what could the next creation look like? When all the land is mapped, all game is tame and the tree of knowledge is bare, what remains? A mind game? An abandoned garden? A new beginning?
So questions Ming Tsao's opera Prospero's Garden with a libretto based on Shakespeare's The Tempest, produced by MusikTeaterVerket to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary whilst also marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s passing.
